Ms. Courtney
Hi everyone! My name is Courtney Phelps! I am so excited to be a part of the Davidson Preschool family! This will be my 6th year at Davidson Preschool as lead teacher.
I am engaged to my sweet fiance, Corey. And I am a mom to one super awesome boy, Jaxon who is 11 years old, I also have a very sweet bonus daughter, Aria who is 4 years old, they are my whole world and my mini best friends! Jaxon attended DP and that is exactly why I fell in love with this facility and jumped at the opportunity to become a teacher here!
I have worked in the early child education field since 2011 and have worked with children of all ages! I’m looking forward to getting to know all these sweet 4-year-olds and watching them grow and learn throughout the year!
When I’m not working, I’m spending time with my family and friends! We love playing outside, board games, and getting crafty. Cooking and baking are my personal favorite pastimes!

Ms. Claire
My name is Claire Craver! This will be my 2nd year here at Daivdson Preschool and I’m so excited to be teaching with Ms. Courtney in the Prekindergarten class!
In my free time you can find me doing facials as I'm also a Licensed Esthetician, hanging out with my friends and family, and babysitting!
I have always loved caring for children, and I can’t wait to teach and watch your babies grow!
The Curriculum
We work on letters and numbers everyday by means of introduction and repetition. We begin teaching our students letters by introducing a letter a week. We continue each week by adding a new letter and repeating previous letters already introduced. This helps create the scaffolding needed for our students to have an easier time recognizing, writting, and reading in later years. We work on our shapes and colors daily during circle time as well as our numbers while we count the days on our classroom calender. Our classroom is set up to encourage self-motivated play as well as sharing and taking turns. Each day we focus on a different subject matter including science, art, math, and music. We read daily and encourage our students to read on their own with reading time that increases as our students grow. Our lessons are filled with crafts that encourage fine motor skills as well as academics. We have a hands-on approach that allows our students to have fun while learning!
We use Lillio to stay connected with our families!
