Ms. Stephanie
Hello! My name is Stephanie Younts, and I am so excited to be starting my second year at Daivdson Preschool. Teaching young children has always been a passion of mine - there is nothing more rewarding than watching them learn, grow and discover the world around them. I truly believe in creating a safe, loving and fun enviroment where every child feels encouraged and supported. Outside the classroom I’m a proud mom to my sweet 1 year old daughter, Wrenley Mae. Watching her experience all of life’s firsts has been such a special journey and it’s made me an even more passionate and patient teacher. I’m looking forward to an amzing school year filled with learning, laughter and lots of growth.

Ms. Amanda
My names Amanda Worth. I live in Archdale. Teaching has been a passion of mine, to help young minds learn and grow for the future. Away from teaching, I enjoy sports, photography, playing with my two dogs, two cats and spending time with my family. I was a nanny for 4 years, I have also worked as an assistant teacher in a preschool setting and within Stokes County Schools. I am excited for the upcoming school year as the teacher assistant for the Beginning Preschool classroom. I look forward to meeting your children and starting our new adventure!
The Curriculum
We work on letters and numbers everyday by means of introduction and repetition. We begin teaching our students letters by introducing a letter a week. We continue each week by adding a new letter and repeating previous letters already introduced. This helps create the scaffolding needed for our students to have an easier time recognizing, writting, and reading in later years. We work on our shapes and colors daily during circle time as well as our numbers while we count the days on our classroom calender. Our classroom is set up to encourage self-motivated play as well as sharing and taking turns. Each day we focus on a different subject matter including science, art, math, and music. We read daily and encourage our students to read on their own with reading time that increases as our students grow. Our lessons are filled with crafts that encourage fine motor skills as well as academics. We have a hands-on approach that allows our students to have fun while learning!
We use Lillio to stay connected with our families!
