Joy Walser

My name is Joy Walser, and I live in Welcome with my husband and our two sons. Education has been my lifelong passion and career. Throughout my years in the classroom, I have found great joy in helping children learn to read and develop strong foundational math skills. Watching students grow academically and gain confidence in their abilities has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my career.

After retiring from Davidson County Schools following 30 years of dedicated service, I continued working with young children as a preschool teacher. I enjoyed helping preschoolers build the skills, knowledge, and enthusiasm for learning that prepare them for success in elementary school and beyond.

I am excited to return as Director this year and look forward to the opportunities, growth, and new experiences that the upcoming school year will bring. I am honored to serve our students, families, and staff and am eager to work together to create a positive and nurturing learning environment for every child.
